Nobody likes being sick. Everything about life seems harder. Sometimes we even start thinking about what happens when we die, which can be frightening. People react differently to being sick. Some get grumpy, while others feel sad and want to be alone. Some people get angry at God and ask, “Why me?”
We must remember that God is with us, even when we are sick. In this lesson, we will learn about a way God helps us when we are not well. It is called the Mystery (Sacrament) of Anointing of the Sick. This special blessing can heal our hearts and minds, and sometimes even our bodies. Jesus is the true healer, and he helps us through these special ways in the Church.
