In the last two lessons, we talked about signs — things that help give us information or instructions, like traffic lights or the fish signs the early Christians used. In this lesson, we’re going to explore something else God uses to teach us about him: symbols.
You have probably heard the word symbol before. Symbols do not just tell us something — they help us think about something bigger, like an idea or a feeling. A wedding ring, for example, is more than just a circle of gold — it is a symbol of love and a promise. A country’s flag is more than fabric — it represents history, unity, and pride. Just like signs, symbols can also help us think about God’s love in powerful ways.
